U.S. Embassies Were Just Attacked in Cuba

As America turns its eyes towards North Korea, a former enemy may have taken the opportunity to harm our civilians.

Yesterday, BBC reported about a possible attack on Americans in Havana, Cuba.  The attack sounds right out of a James Bond novel.

The attack targeted American embassy officials with a sonic device that causes temporary or permanent hearing loss.  In order to receive treatment, diplomats headed back to the States.  Unfortunately, this meant a number of cancelled tours and events.

Does it seem f-ed up if true?  Well, hold on to your hats.  Two credible news sources, the BBC and the Associated Press, are saying the attack is very real.

From the Associated Press:

After months of investigation, U.S. officials concluded that the diplomats had been exposed to an advanced device that operated outside the range of audible sound and had been deployed either inside or outside their residences. It was not immediately clear if the device was a weapon used in a deliberate attack, or had some other purpose.

To reciprocate, the U.S. expelled two Cuban diplomats from Cuba’s embassy in D.C.

The incident has me scratching my head.  Last I checked, relationships between Cuba and the United States were blossoming.  Clearly, something is rotten in the state of Cuba.

With so much tension in the world already, I hope the U.S. poises itself to justly respond on all fronts.

Of course, we are praying for the victims.

Just as before, cuba is not to be trusted in any way. We need to cut all ties with cuba. Keep them isolated and in the dark ages.
