Paul Ryan Caught Red-Handed at Insider Dinner: “No Chance” for Border Wall

According to multiple sources, Paul Ryan disclosed at a private dinner this year that there was “no chance” for a border wall.  He believed only one person actually wanted to build the border wall.

Representative Tom Tancredo (R-CO) was upset with Ryan’s statements.

In an interview with Breitbart news, he was quoted:

Of course he means only one person in his entourage and of the leadership.  I know several people in Congress who want a wall and I know that there are millions of Americans who want a wall.

You have to understand the level of fear that exists in the Republican establishment about this issue.

The Chamber of Commerce doesn’t want a wall…the pressure is greater from the Chamber of Commerce than it is from the members.  That’s the basic problem. It was then. It is now.

The fear that Tancredo references is immigration.  When republicans attempt to address immigration, they receive tremendous pressure from outside organizations.  Representative Tancredo has tried for years to get Congress to focus on the flood of illegal immigration.  Unfortunately, most of his efforts have failed.

“Build a wall and make Mexico pay for it” was a hallmark of Trump’s 2016 campaign.  So far, the spring budget has not addressed a border wall.

From Tancredo:

Every rally [the president] would whip up the crowd saying we’re going to build a wall. And so you had hopes that in putting so much rhetoric into it during the campaign that it would be hard to avoid it … but so far they have found a way to do so.

The White House has also not addressed plans for a border wall.  Paul Ryan’s loyalty to Trump has been questionable.  Perhaps Tancredo puts it best in his final quote.

Ryan and the Senate Majority Leader [Mitch McConnell] would rather have had Hillary than Donald Trump for that very reason.  They failed at stopping him and now they’re going to have to stop him legislatively.

It’s time for true Conservatives to part company with the Republican Party and join with the only party willing to uphold the Constitution as envisioned by the Founders, The Federalist Party. http://thefederalistparty.org/

If the wimpy congress does not want a wall then we need a DMZ like the Koreas have. Shoot or fey anyone that tries to cross it. Land mines would also be good to keep out illegal pests..
