FIRE HER! Sarah Huckabee Sanders Makes Comments on ESPN’s Jemele Hill

On Wednesday, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders let the press know how she felt about ESPN co-host Jemele Hill’s comments.

Earlier this week, Jemele Hill called President Trump a “a white supremacist” and “a bigot”.  The post appeared on her personal Twitter account.  Here is a copy of her now-deleted tweet.

For those who don’t know, Hill is a Colin Kaepernick disciple.  In the past, she made national news for other controversial statements about the police.  Kaepernick has taken notice.  He tweeted his support for Hill’s comments.

Many ESPN viewers demanded that Hill be fired.  Strangely, ESPN has chosen not to fire Jemele Hill.  Additionally, they have been vague about any sort of disciplinary action.

Here is their statement on the matter:

Hill appeared in her regular Tuesday spot.  Basically, Hill got away with barely a slap on the wrist.

Recently, ESPN has chosen to address political matters in addition to sports.  Through their lack of action, it’s clear that ESPN is buying what Hill is selling.

However, Sarah Huckabee Sanders is not.  On Wednesday, reporters asked her to give her thoughts on the matter.  She called Jemele’s statements a “firable offense”.

That’s one of the more outrageous comments that anyone could make and certainly is a fireable offense by ESPN.

Despite the media’s narrative, President Trump has been working hard with African American leaders.  Sanders noted that Trump had met with South Carolina Senator Tim Scott on Wednesday.  Tim Scott is the first African American Senator for South Carolina, and he met with the president to discuss racial issues.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders said that comments from Colin Kaepernick and Jemele Hill damaged efforts to alleviate the struggles of African Americans.

[Trump is] committed to working with [African-American leaders] to bring the country together.  That’s where we need to be focused, not on outrageous statements like that one.
