Actor George Takei accused of sexual assault by former actor, model

The sexual accusation flood gates have opened and someone new is accused on the daily.

Politicians and celebrities alike are being openly accused of sexual assault. Harvey Weinstein accusations opened the door and now dozens have been accused of the same crime. Child actor Corey Feldman claims that all of the Hollywood elite are sexual abusers and have been for quite sometime. Now actor George Takei is joining the every growing list of accused sexual offenders but in his case the accusations are completely baffling.

Former model Scott R. Brunton has come forward with sexual accusations against Takei but George claims to have no idea why he is being accused at all and the timing of these accusations seems highly suspicious. Why now?

Via Fox News:

Scott R. Brunton said the incident occurred in 1981 when he was beginning his career in Hollywood. He said he met Takei, who was 43 or 44 years old then, at a bar and the pair reportedly exchanged numbers and talked on occasion.

When Brunton, then 23 years old, broke up with his boyfriend at the time, he said Takei “was a great ear.”

Following a night out, the duo reportedly went back to Takei’s apartment for drinks. During the second round, Brunton said he began “feeling very disoriented and dizzy” and thought he “was going to pass out,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.

“The next thing I remember I was coming to and he had my pants down around my ankles and he was groping my crotch and trying to get my underwear off and feeling me up at the same time, trying to get his hands down my underwear,” Brunton told The Hollywood Reporter. “I came to and said, ‘What are you doing?!’ I said, ‘I don’t want to do this.’”

Brunton claimed he left the apartment despite Takei telling him “to relax” and “get comfortable.”

According to Brunton his choice to come forward now has to do with Takei commenting on similar accusations against Kevin Spacey and Anthony Rapp where Takei condemned behavior that involved an elder taking advantage of a youth whether they be gay or straight.

“When power is used in a non-consensual situation, it is a wrong,” Takei said. “For Anthony Rapp, he has had to live with the memory of this experience of decades ago. For Kevin Spacey, who claims not to remember the incident, he was the older, dominant one who had his way.

“Men who improperly harass or assault do not do so because they are gay or straight — that is a deflection,” Takei said. “They do so because they have the power, and they chose to abuse it.”

Seems like just another celebrity looking for some time in the limelight by faking accusations that are personally damning. Whether or not the numerous allegations of sexual misconduct are true the fact that they are being dealt with in such a public matter screams selfishness and a severe lack of compassion.

These accusations can’t always be proven, and that can become as issue. However, I did see the vid where Takei was laughing and telling how he was seduced as a kid by an older man, and how thrilling and enjoyable it was…and believed every child should have such a wonderful experience.
