BIAS ALERT: Conservative publisher Regnery cuts ties with the New York Times over best-seller lists

Monday, Regnery announced it will no longer promote or publicize the New York Times bestseller list — no longer adding “New York Times bestseller” to it’s book jackets or listing authors as “New York Times bestselling authors” in our marketing materials—after years of seeing their books ranked lower on the list than they should have been, according to raw sales data. Here’s their press release stating the big problem:

Regnery publishes authors such as Ann Coulter, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham and President Donald Trump. Dinesh D’Souza’s book The Big Lie: Exposing the Nazi Roots of the American Left was only Number 7 on the Times’ latest best-sellers list, even though a different organization that tracks book sales ranked it at Number 1.

“I ask you to consider this: We are often told it’s foolish to bite the hand that feeds you. I say it’s just as foolish to feed the hand that bites you.”

But a spokesman for the Times notes conservative authors have frequently ranked high and in big numbers on its best-sellers list.
