BREAKING: White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer resigns


Friday, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer resigned.

Spicer’s departure comes as President Donald Trump’s transition team officially announces that Anthony Scaramucci was slated to be the new White House communications director.

Spicer, whose contentious relationship with the press — often poked fun at by  “Saturday Night Live” — found himself answering tough questions from reporters on Trump campaign officials’ conversations with Moscow, Russia, and the Trump’s tweets on a wide range of topics.

Scaramucci’s appointment is expected to be announced Friday.
