Hurricane Irma: Jennifer Lawrence BACKLASH as she hints storms are nature’s rage at Trump

Outrage as Jennifer Lawrence says Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma are Mother Nature’s revenge on President Trump for his attitude towards global warming.

Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence is getting some major a backlash after she suggested the recent rise of deadly hurricanes — with Hurricane Irma on path to hit the entire state of Florida September 10th — is all because of  ‘mother nature’s rage’ against President Donald Trump and his supporters.

Houston suffered the worst flooding in recent memory from Hurricane Harvey. Now, Miami prepares is preparing for a direct hit from Hurricane Irma. But it seems the 27-year-old outspoken actress wants to blame the President, and those who voted for him, for the natural disasters, questioning those skeptical about global warming. In an interview with the U.K.’s Channel 4, she said:

“It’s also scary to know, that climate change is due to human activity, and we continue to ignore it, and the only voice that we really have is through voting.”

Then Lawrence hinted that the deadly hurricanes were the result of the U.S. because “climate-change denying voters” chose Donald Trump as President saying:

“You know you’re watching these hurricanes now, and it’s really hard especially while promoting this movie, not to feel mother nature’s rage and wrath.”

Lawrence also says the current discourse over climate change and politics in America is something she’s no longer familiar with.

“This new language that’s forming, I don’t even recognize it.”

The interviewer then asked her about President Trump asking:

Interviewer: “Do you find President Trump confusing?”

Lawrence: “I don’t find him confusing. I think I know exactly what he is.”

Florida is currently bracing for the strongest hurricane to hit the Atlatic Ocean to touch down this weekend. Hurricane Irma pictured ober Leeward Islands captured by NASA on Wednesday

Lawrence previously narrated an Imax film and NASA collaboration called ‘A Beautiful Planet,’ and is a regular at various Earth Day events. Coincidentally, this also not the first time Lawrence has spoken out against Trump. In 2015 when Trump started to campaign, she spoke to Entertainment Weekly saying,

“If Donald Trump becomes president, that will be the end of the world.”

When Trump won the election, the actress said she was attending the same event as the president elect, and she wanted to make a video of herself saying while giving the middle finger:

“Hey Trump, F**k you!”
