On Saturday, Michelle Obama told an audience in Los Angeles that she would not be running for political office.  She went on to say that those “looking for someone else to take on that responsibility” were part of the problem, and that THEY needed to focus more on advocating for themselves.

The former first lady talked with actress Tracee Ellis Ross at the United State Of Women Summit, (SEE BELOW) covering a range of topics.  Obama responded to a voice from the crowd asking why she wouldn’t seek an elected post.  “Stop that,” said Obama.

Obama spoke about the need for women to come together as a community before looking to one individual woman to solve their problems, and said in that sense she is no different than a previous first lady, Hillary Clinton.

“When I hear people say, ‘You run,’ it’s part of the problem,” Obama said.  “We’ve got a lot of work to do before we’re focused on ‘the who.’  Because we’re ‘the who.’”

“We are the answer,” she continued.  “All of us here in the room are the answer to our own problems ― it is not finding the one right person that we think can save us from ourselves.  It’s us.  It’s us.”

Obama said that the small ways individuals find to support women’s voices within their own circle will have more of an impact than she could have.  Of course, Michelle only wants LIBERAL women’s voices to be supported.  Perish the thought that women would listen to CONSERVATIVE women.

“Looking for the next person to run, and I don’t mean to cut that off, but that’s been our distraction,” she said.  “We’re just going to wait for the next person to save us.  We thought it was Barack Obama, and then he didn’t end racism.”

You got THAT right, Michelle.  Your husband did not end racism, he exacerbated it, intentionally.

“In light of the last election, I’m concerned about us as women.  What is going on in our heads that we let that happen?  What are girls dreaming about when the most qualified person running was a woman and look what we did?

“What is going on in our heads that we let that happen?”  Michelle asks.  Let what happen?  Let each voter, including women, make up his/her own mind?  Are women supposed to listen to YOU?  Are they supposed to listen to Dems?  Are they supposed to listen to bitter, hateful Liberals?  Since they can’t, just can’t listen to the men in their lives, who do YOU think should dictate to them, Michelle?

More than half of America’s adults are women.  Americans cannot vote unless they first register to vote.  In the U.S. today 73% of eligible women are actually registered, whereas 69% of men are registered.  Ten percent of black women voted for Trump.  This is a first for a GOP presidential candidate.  Fifty-three percent of white women and 25% of Latino women, also using their intellect over emotion, voted for President Trump.

The former first lady, who hasn’t rubbed elbows with an average, normal, American living in “flyover country” for over 20 years, showed how clueless she is with this remark:

“There are still those who aren’t speaking up at their own dinner tables,” she said.  “They’re not going to contradict their husbands or their fathers.  And we have to figure out, are we doing that?  Are we part of that?”

“So many of us have gotten ourselves at the table, but we’re still too grateful to be at the table to really shift the thinking.”  Michelle Obama will not be happy until all American women think and believe as she does.

Writer’s note:  The nine featured speakers at the United State of Women Summit were all from the far left of the political spectrum, even dragging out Jane Fonda.  The organizers were afraid that Conservative speakers would bring too much logic and not enough emotion to this event.

About Diane L. Gruber

I am a proud American who is tired of biting my tongue for fear of making a Liberal mad; for fear of being called racist because I believe in the Rule of Law; for fear of damaging my license to practice law. NO MORE!!!! Conservative-minded citizens have stayed silent for decades while Liberals have caused significant damage to American culture and to our nation. I lived in a Third-World Dictatorship. Generation after generation had been trained to kow tow to the government. They were afraid to discuss ANYTHING about the government even in the privacy of their own homes. My "Time" magazine arrived with articles cut out, after the censors got through checking it for heresy. With Political Correctness and "hate speech" rules, we are already halfway to officially losing our precious Freedom of Speech. If we want anything of value to remain for future generations we need to act now, rally in the streets now, speak out now. Don't be cowed.
