Obama and Hillary Definitely Knew About Harvey Weinstein’s Assaults

The Obamas and the Clintons have finally broken their silence on their friend Harvey Weinstein.  It’s been almost a week, so what’s the delay?  The powerful movie producer has been a longtime ally of the Democratic party.  It just goes to show how much money talks in politics.

Spokesman Nick Merrill delivered Hillary’s statement:

I was shocked and appalled by the revelations about Harvey Weinstein.  The behavior described by women coming forward cannot be tolerated. Their courage and the support of others is critical in helping to stop this kind of behavior.

Hillary has often shown she is complicit with powerful white men.  The very men that she claims to be fighting.  She showed her true colors in her attempts to “destroy” Monica Lewinsky.  She showed it more recently by blaming the women’s march for her loss.  It’s no surprise that she fell silent when a major donor came out as a predator of women.

She’s not the only powerful Democrat that was slow to react to Weinstein.  The Obamas released a statement only yesterday.

Here was their statement:

Michelle and I have been disgusted by the recent reports about Harvey Weinstein. Any man who demeans and degrades women in such fashion needs to be condemned and held accountable, regardless of wealth or status.

As many remember, Malia Obama scored an internship at the Weinstein Company last summer. Weinstein’s behavior was a well-kept secret among the elites.  That raises some eyebrows about the Obamas’ decision to let their daughter intern under such a man.

In fact, I find it hard to believe that neither of these elite families was unaware of the harassment and assault.  Since the story broke, victims of Weinstein have called out complicit parties.  See: Rose McGowan and Ben Affleck.

It’s not that farfetched to think that Obama and Clinton allowed this perverted behavior.  Weinstein lined their pockets, so they kept their mouths shut.  At least, that’s what logic is telling me.

With more stars coming forward about their experiences with the “casting couch”, Hollywood may be in for some upheaval in the coming years.  With the Democrats so close to Hollywood, they may be in for some upheaval as well.
