President Trump Has Received FISA Memo…Here’s What He’s Going To Do Next

The White House will undergo a national security review of a FISA memo purporting to show misconduct by the FBI in the investigation of the Trump campaign which the House Intelligence Committee voted to declassify Monday.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told Fox News the White House will undertake a “thorough” review of the memo while it considers it for release. House rules dictate that the legislature can vote to declassify material in the public interest stipulating the president must approve its release within 5 days.

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway clarified on CNN that the memo will likely not be released ahead of the State of the Union address Tuesday and a “deliberative process” will determine whether the memo should be released.

Rep. Trey Gowdy, one of the memo’s authors, told Fox News Monday that anyone interested in whether the salacious Steele dossier was used in procuring surveillance warrants on the Trump campaign should seek the memo’s release.

The White House process will likely consider the objections of the Department of Justice who have warned that it could inadvertently damage national security.
