Putin the Pianist! Watch the Kremlin tickle the ivories in Beijing

While taking part in the ‘One Belt, One Road’ forum, the Russian President Vladimir Putin stopped to play the piano while waiting to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing. The “One Belt, One Road” initiative is a $1 trillion plan for infrastructure and economic development in some 60 countries.

Mr. Putin played two tunes at the piano: “Evening Song,” by Vasily Solovyov-Sedoi, and “Moscow Windows,” by Tikhon Khrennikov. The two songs are from the late 1950s, when Mr. Putin, 64, was a child and the Soviet Union was emerging from the shadow of Stalin, who died in 1953.
