Scaramucci Terminates Suspected Leaker Michael Short from White House

Michael Short, suspected White House leaker, has been terminated from the White House communications office.

Short was considered an ally to both Sean Spicer and Reince Preibus.

In a valiant effort, Scaramucci promises to root out every leaker, even if that means the whole staff gets fired.  If the allegations against Short are true, then this was a strong first move for Scaramucci.

Tara Palmeri of Politico reported:

It would be Scaramucci’s first step toward shaking up the communications shop, which has been dominated by former Republican National Committee staffers loyal to White House chief of staff Reince Priebus, a former RNC chairman.

Short originally drew much criticism for leaving the Trump campaign after the Access Hollywood fiasco.  He returned to the White House staff a few months later at the request of Priebus.  Upon his return in January, many staffers were dumbfounded to discover they’d once again be working alongside Short.

Short officially resigned today at around 1 pm.

Speculation swirls that President Trump is behind the move after learning of Short quitting the campaign.  He views it as an act of betrayal.

Short has denied claims that he is a leaker in an email to Breitbart, but Scaramucci clearly thought differently.
