FOX News says NO! Sean Hannity is NOT getting fired

FOX News host Sean Hannity is not following Bill O’Reilly out the door.

The conservative centered network squashed speculation that Hannity wouldn’t return to his primetime show in a statement:

“Like the rest of the country, Sean Hannity is taking a vacation for Memorial Day weekend and will be back on Tuesday. Those who suggest otherwise are going to look foolish.”

Hannity’s absence Thursday and Friday raised some eyebrows and brought out conspiracy theories, amid Hannity pushing the story about murdered DNC employee Seth Rich. Hannity has been one of the only media anchors to research and talk about Rich being killed for leaking DNC emails to WikiLeaks. Hannity even made a joke about him getting fired, adding to those who would look foolish if they think he is:

Hannity’s planned vacation comes at a time when several advertisers, including, Leesa Sleep, Peloton and USAA, have pulled ads from his show. It’s a confluence of events that is very reminiscent of Bill O’Reilly’s final days at FOX News.

Hannity, however, remains steadfast, tweeting Thursday:

“Hannity” generates millions of dollars in ad revenue for FOX News. According to ad spending tracker Kantar Media, in 2016, the show brought in nearly $65.7 million. The show saw a 17% jump from the $56.1 million the show generated in 2015.

Kimberly Guilfoyle is scheduled to fill in the rest of the week on “Hannity.”
