Shots Fired at Trump Supporter in Indiana

Was a Conservative Targeted in Indiana?

Tuesday morning, a Trump supporter’s truck was shot in Indiana, and police believe this truck might have been targeted.  The possible reason?  It proudly displayed a “Make America Great Again” flag.  Thankfully, nobody was hurt in the attack.

“Officers believe the shots were fired from a newer white 4-door Chevrolet Malibu with a Louisiana plate near Emerson Avenue around 4 p.m.

The victim and a witness informed police that the Malibu pulled up next to the pickup truck, a passenger held a handgun out of the window and then a male fired several shots.”

It appears that the perpetrators were two African American males wielding handguns.  Both the driver and the passenger of the Malibu may have fired shots.

It is unclear if this was a case of road rage gone wrong, or if the men specifically targeted the truck for its decoration.  The shooter is still at large.

The event occurred just one day before the Congressional Baseball Team Shooting.

If the truck was targeted for its decoration, this is yet another blemish in our political climate.

Encouraging the harm of conservatives, even in jest, is dangerous.  Mentally disturbed individuals will interpret these images (mock assassinations and decapitations, anyone?) as approval for their actions.
